DASIE
DASIE Surgical Training Tools

The DASIEs cylindrical shape allows for multiple incisions and practice sessions.  The DASIE can be taped down to a table (see picture below) and draped to simulate aseptic surgery during suture practice.

The Dasie has a faux-suede skin that includes a dermal layer to practice  subcuticular and cutaneous closure.  It contains subcutaneous blood vessels that allow to practice vessel ligation, a layer of subcutaneous tissue and an abdominal wall layer that mimics incision and suture of the rectus fascia and rectus muscle.  The DASIE also contains a foam intestinal tube that allows to practice incision and closure of  a hollow organ or resection and anastomosis.
